This last weekend I was invited up to the Grand Chenier Barn Warming. The Grand Chenier Barn (website: HERE) is located east of San Miguel and before you arrive at Parkfield. This is a working horse ranch with literally hundreds of horses up and down the hillsides. The barn itself has been recently setup to host weddings and is a top notch facility. The surrounding hills create a stunning backdrop and the accommodations are like none other. The upstairs is a unique experience with antiques from all over the country ranging from musket rifles and pianos to a 360 degree mirrored changing room and four post bed overlooking gorgeous green hills and a vibrant sunset.
I received my invitation to the barn warming a month before the event. The invitation asked that I arrive at noon before the 3pm start. When I pulled up, I was greeted by Nicole who was going to be our bride model for the afternoon. Sweet! Janie, who is the events manager, had arranged for wedding dresses as well as transportation and an extensive tour of the surrounding countryside. Not only is the facility top shelf, but Janie and the rest of her staff were simply wonderful! I highly suggest taking a look at the Grand Chenier Barn if you are looking for a country barn wedding venue.

Greg and Whitney caught my attention as they were playing around out in one of the fields. These two are sweet, sincere and totally hilarious. I had a blast shooting a few frames of them against the gorgeous green hills.
