Flying Caballos Ranch is less than a mile from my house. Maybe this is why I feel such a connection to the place. The weather, light and views are a part of my life every day. Looking straight out from the Ranch towards the Pacific, I can see my street. Flying Caballos Ranch has a magical quality to it. I see it when I’m making pictures. The dust that hits the buildings during the day reflects light off the colorful walls. Direct sunlight bounces off the green grass and blends with the yellow paint on the house to give a warm olive glow to a passerby’s skin. And the pixie dust light that can be manipulated in such an amazing way during certain moments throughout the day leaves me with a surreal feeling every time I set foot on the property.
Erin and Brad are sweet and kind. They were eager for me to find new angles, take as much time as I needed and to simply do my thing throughout their wedding day. It was an honor to have been chosen to capture their day.
Be sure to check out the video below that I put together as I was doing the photography throughout the day.
Dan Curcio was there MC’ing as well as playing a couple of accoustic sets. Dan’s music can be found on Itunes. The video is featuring his song, What You Want You Will Find. www.dancurcio.com
