As a Paso Robles wedding photographer, Dancing Horse Ranch continues to inspire me with surreal light that comes across the grass and through the trees each evening. The first wedding I shot at Dancing Horse Ranch was Billy and Kristen’s a year or so ago: HERE. I was taken by surprise by the soft golden light that graced us that evening. In most places, evening light is directional, but at Dancing Horse Ranch, the colorful glow bounces around the entire valley. Since Billy and Kristen’s wedding, the gorgeous light at this amazing place has never disappointed. I’m sure that most photographers have special wedding venues where they feel at ease creating images. For me, Dancing Horse Ranch is one of those places (even in 107 degree heat – as it was when we shot the image below).
