Lisa and Jeremy (engagement pictures HERE) had their intimate Santa Margarita Ranch wedding last week. This time of year the weather in Santa Margarita is often over 100 degrees but, on this Monday, the cool breeze kicked up and the evening was calm and comfortable (even in a suit!). Santa Margarita Barn is one of my favorite central coast wedding venues. The light through the barn slats is incredible and in the evening, the oaks on the property explode with stunning orange and yellows sun beams. Lisa and Jeremy’s wedding ceremony was held in the garden area where guests were seated on hay bails under large oaks trees. The grass and breeze stifled any residual heat from the hottest part of the day. After their ceremony, the wedding party and I headed over to a few of the steam powered vehicles just off the main property. These steampunk car contraptions are simply magical. After a few fun pictures, we headed over to the barn for the reception. DJ, Andy Morris kept everyone dancing and everything running smoothly all night long.
I’m pasting below a little more information about Santa Margarita Ranch.
“Just outside of San Luis Obispo, Santa Margarita Ranch boasts nearly 15,000 acres of open pastures, vineyards and gardens, along with a historic barn and a steam train (originally from Disneyland!). The garden area for events holds up to 1,000 guests…..as well as a 4,000 square foot enclosed barn. You will not find a more authentic ranch venue than the Santa Margarita Ranch. The Ranch is also home to the Pacific Coast Railroad which offers operating steam trains in a 25-minute loop around the working cattle ranch.”
