Marci and Chris had a wonderful Gainey Vineyard wedding last week. We started the day out at the Corque Hotel in Solvang where both Marci and Chris got ready. Chris and his buddies had me rolling for most of the morning as they are all hilarious! From the Corque Hotel, we headed over to Gainey Vineyard where the wedding and reception took place. This time of year, Gainey Vineyard is surrounded by grape vines that are bursting with ripe fruit. There are many grape varieties including: Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Syrah, Pino Blanc to name a few. Right now, harvest is in full affect and the vineyard looks as though it may burst!
Marci and Chris’ ceremony was romantic and sweet. Surrounded by their family and close friends, they said “I do” under one of the larger oak trees on the property. Directly following their first dance, Marci, Chris and I headed up into the vineyards to take advantage of the golden evening light. Moments before the sun touched down, there was a break in the fog that sat on the horizon, leaving us with a spectacular light display at the end of our day.
